Fitzroy River Pipeline

The ultimate goal of this project is to secure water to the Gladstone region in an efficient manner and to ensure that the long and short term water needs of current and future customers are met. The project is intended to allow the transfer of up to 30 gigalitres of water per annum (30GL/yr) from an intake on the Fitzroy River to a service reservoir, near Gladstone and on to existing and new customers.

Services to client:

  • Approx 115km (1000mm diameter) of pipeline
  • One water treatment plant near the intake on Fitzroy River
  • Three pump stations and associated reservoirs along the pipeline route
  • One service reservoir at Aldoga
