Jim McDonald
Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman
Jim was the CEO and Managing Director of Australian Pipeline Limited (responsible entity for Australian Pipeline Trust), a position he held from IPO of the Trust in June 2000 until his retirement in July 2005.
Jim’s industry experience includes board membership of the Australian Gas Association, the Australian Council for Infrastructure Development and the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA), where he also served as President and Treasurer and has been awarded Life Membership of APIA.
Jim is currently a director of Hastings Funds Management Limited. Jim has had major board experience having previously served as Chairman of Vortex Pipes Limited and as a Director of PearlStreet Limited. Jim is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Gareth Mann
Group Managing Director
Gareth has over 25 years’ experience in leading and managing companies during their growth into international markets. Gareth has a wealth of experience in international business, market and project development of large scale energy and infrastructure projects.
Gareth’s early career in Australia was associated with gas turbine installations for power and gas compression applications.
Gareth joined Destec Energy Inc., Texas in the early 1990’s where he led the development of several successful large scale gas turbine based power projects including the Wabash River Integrated Coal Gasification project.
As Vice President International, Gareth led Destec’s expansion into Europe, the Middle East and ultimately into Asia. In 1997, he joined PSEG Global Inc. and in 2000 he joined Gryphon Technologies, a specialist technology development company, as President and CEO.
In 2005, Gareth returned to Australia and joined Transurban as Group General Manager – Development.
Gareth holds a Bachelor Degree from the University of Sydney and is a member of the Institute of Engineers.

Michael Jones
Director - Sustainability and Risk Management
Michael has almost 30 years of experience in the manufacturing, construction and mining industries. Michael has worked with a number of leading manufacturing, construction and mining industries. Michael has worked with a number of leading mining companies across Australia, and has undertaken a range of projects including underground mining, gold treatment, coal preparation and materials handling and commercial building construction.
Michael is a founding shareholder of Walter Mining and Director of WDS Limited. Michael is responsible for the identification and management of risk in all facets of the Group’s operations and acquisitions, including the development of Group policies and procedures, the establishment and maintenance of risk registers for the Group’s operations and overseeing all legal and insurance matters and acquisitions.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from New South Wales Institute of Technology. |

Ross Rolfe AO
Independent Non-Executive Director
Ross Rolfe has more than 15 years of experience in the Australian energy and infrastructure industries in senior management, government and strategic roles.
Ross is currently Acting Chief Executive of Babcock & Brown Power, a director of Infrastructure Australia, Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and member of the University of Queensland Senate.
Prior to his appointment at Babcock & Brown, Ross held the positions of Director General – Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Director General – Department of State Development and Director General – Department of Environment & Heritage. Ross also held the position of Co-ordinator General in Queensland for six years. Ross was also the chief executive officer of Stanwell Corporation, one of Queensland’s largest energy generation companies.
Ross’ major board experience includes chairmanship of Queensland Manufacturing Institute and directorships of the Queensland Low Emissions Technology Centre, Emu Downs Wind Farm and Queensland Resources Council.

Phillip McCarthy
Independent Non-Executive Director
Phillip McCarthy has 36 years of experience in the Australian coal industry in both senior management and industry strategic roles. Recently, he has been involved in advising mining and manufacturing companies on corporate strategy, value creation, acquisitions and divestment via his consultancy business.
Phil was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Powercoal Limited for over a decade, before the company was acquired by Centennial Coal Company Limited. In addition, he has been a Member of the Australian Coal association and the Executive Committee NSW Minerals Council.
For the last six years, Phil has acted as Chairman to the International Committee for Coal Research. Phil is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Management, and the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. |

Graeme Williams
Chief Financial Officer
Graeme Williams has over 35 years' accounting experience including 11 years in the public accounting profession. Immediately prior to joining WDS Graeme ran his own financial consultancy business.
Graeme had previously been the Chief Financial Officer of Australian Pipeline Trust from its inception in June 2000 through to July 2005. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Lucent Technologies Australia Pty Limited and had spent 8 years as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of JNA Telecommunications Limited.
Graeme is a CPA and an associate member of the Chartered Secretaries Australia and holds a Diploma in Technology (Commerce) from the University of Technology Sydney.

Robin Bailey
Chief Executive Officer
of Diversified Construction Corporation Pty Ltd (DCC)
Robin has 20 years experience in the engineering and construction industry covering a range of project management , operations management and project development roles. These have included roles with Visionstream (a Leighton Contractors subsidiary), Kellogg Brown & Root, Thiess and as an engineer officer in the Australian Army. Robin has worked in Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea and has significant experience in the management of remote area works.
Prior to joining DCC, Robin worked in the Infrastructure Development area of Thiess and was involved in the management of proposals for major projects.
Robin is a Member of the Institution of Engineers (Australia) and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment, an MBA and a BE (Hons). He is a graduate of Royal Military College, Duntroon and was an inaugural recipient in 1995 of a Vincent Fairfax Ethics in Leadership Award.

Wayne Bull
Chief Executive Officer
of Walter Mining Pty Ltd (WM)
Wayne has extensive operational experience both nationally and internationally in the mining industry. He was initially employed in the British coal mining industry where he completed a Mine Manager's First Class Certificate of Competency and a Higher National Diploma in Mining Engineering.
In Australia, Wayne has a Queensland and New South Wales Mine Manager's First and Second Class Certificate of Competency. Wayne was an Operations Manager with Thiess Pty Limited, General Manager, Underground Mine Manager and Production Manager at Nort5rh Goonyella Coat Mine, Development Manager at Dendrobium Mine and has also worked as Production Superintendent at Moranbah North and as an Underground Mining Engineer at South Blackwater Coal.

Janine Rolfe
Company Secretary
Janine is a corporate lawyer specialising in company secretarial services and is the company secretary of two other ASX listed entities, Pryme Oil & Gas Limited and Tishman Speyer Office Fund. Janine is also company secretary of charitable body, Qantas Foundation Trustee Limited.
Previously, Janine was a company secretary at Qantas Airways Limited where she was responsible for the day-to-day management of all public company issues arising in the Qantas Group. Prior to that, Janine was a solicitor at Mallesons Stephens Jaques, working in the mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory teams.
Janine has a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws (Hons), is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and is a Notary Public.
